DERNORD ball valves are constructed from either stainless steel SS304 or SS316 and are commonly utilized at the ends of CIP piping or racking arms. Available in mini, 1-piece, and 2-way 3-piece configurations, all DERNORD ball valves are designed for inline installation in any orientation to maximize flow capacity. With the ability to handle up to 250 PSI WOG, some models are even rated for up to 1000 WOG. Additionally, all valve handles swing out from the center, with certain models featuring lockable handles.

Application

DERNORD Stainless Steel Valves can effectively regulate the flow of diverse fluids such as air, water, steam, corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metals, inert gases, and radioactive substances.

Selecting the Correct Size

Pipe sizing is commonly considered nominal and may refer to the former iron pipe size (IPS) system. Pipe size is an industry designation rather than a measured size, not reflecting the true inside or outside diameter. This DERNORD stainless steel valve offers 1/4 turn shut-off capability with a construction material of SS316 for enhanced resistance to corrosion. The valve features NPT Type connections for Female & Female and can withstand a temperature range of -30°F to 325°F. Equipped with a blow-out proof stem to prevent leakage and valve damage, this valve ensures reliable performance.
